Bassett the Beagle

As all of you know I lost my dog brutus 2 months 8 days and 5 hours ago. I still miss him very much. A couple weeks ago a man approached me asked if the dog that was following him was mine? I told him no, he said the dog was a stray and that he needed food and water, well if anyone knows me they know I am a sucker when it comes to dogs of course brought the beagle in my home and fed him and gave him water. I even let him spend the night with us for the next two nights. Then I had to make a difficult decsion to take him to animal control for his owners to claim him. The beagle stayed in the animal shelter for a week and a half. It was killing me to have him in that dreadful place so I emailed a local beagle rescue in maryland and they were able to help me. Today they pulled the beagle from the shelter and he is being fostered at my home until they can place him in a good home. It is a wonderful ending to a sad story. He is very good with my son, basically he is a couch potato but he will be getting exercise with me. I named him bassett because when i first saw him I thought he was a bassett hound because he was way too fat to be a beagle. But he is a beagle and a happy one. :) See the pics

Halloween 2006

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Halloween. Jonah and I went a costume party at my complex, we did not stay for long but I know he would have won. After that we went over to our friend alissa's house for trick or treating, we could not of asked for a nicer nice night, it was 65 degrees out. Jonah jr went to so many houses, he filled two pumpkin buckets full of candy for mommy and daddy. After we were done trick or treating we went to our friend manys house where she had set up a bonfire and had neighbors over. Mandys husband was dressed up as michael myers from one of those scary movies and let me tell you he looked like the real thing, I did not get a picture of him. sorry But overall we had a great Halloween, jonah was pooped from all the action and entertainment.
